Equipped with little more than an aquarium light and solo cups, I transformed my mother’s old glass bakery display into a makeshift grow room, complete with blacked-out windows, a hanging light, and a small desktop fan. It feels like a lifetime ago, yet the thrill of planting a seed or a clone remains as fresh as ever.
